Monument Chapter, NSDAR
Edina, Minnesota
About UsWhile the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) was founded in 1890, it wasn't until December 11, 1900, that Monument Chapter, NSDAR, was chartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Monument Chapter, NSDAR, is one of the oldest and largest DAR chapters in Minnesota. On February 2, 2013, the chapter charter location was moved from Minneapolis to Edina to more accurately reflect where most members lived in the south to southwest metro. One of the primary goals of the Monument Chapter, NSDAR, was to erect patriotic monuments in public spaces. Today, Monument Chapter, NSDAR, members contribute through historic preservation, education, and patriotism to honor our ancestors.
